Job summary

PT Arnawarma Mineral Jaya (AMJ) is seeking an experienced accounting and finance supervisor in Indonesia. You will supervise junior staff, ensure timely transaction recording, and maintain robust records and controls within the mining sector.

The role requires a diploma or degree in accounting or finance, 2-5 years of experience, strong Excel and ERP (SAP) skills, and fluency in Indonesian and English. You will support month-end close and collaborate with operations to resolve financial issues.

• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills in Indonesian and English.

Responsibilities

Job description

Supervise and coordinate the work of junior accounting and finance staff on daily operational tasks

Ensure accurate and timely completion of financial transaction recording, reconciliation, and documentation

Monitor compliance with established accounting procedures, internal controls, and regulatory requirements

Assist in the preparation of financial reports, schedules, and analysis for management review

Maintain and organise financial records, ledgers, and supporting documentation in accordance with company standards

Identify and elevate discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies to senior accounting management

Provide training and guidance to junior team members on accounting procedures and best practices

Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations

Liaise between the accounting department and operational teams to resolve financial and administrative matters

Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting processes and internal control systems

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

2-5 years of experience in financial accounting, bookkeeping, or a related accounting role

Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards

Excellent attention to detail with strong numerical and analytical skills

Demonstrated ability to supervise or mentor junior staff members

Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines

Excellent communication skills in both Indonesian and English

Ability to work independently whilst maintaining a collaborative team approach

Knowledge of mining or mineral extraction industry accounting practices is preferred

Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is advantageous
