Job summary

Nestlé Indonesia is seeking an Operations Shift Manager to drive line objectives by empowering teams and ensuring the shift production plan is met safely, with quality, cost, delivery and environmental considerations guiding every decision.

In this role you will lead safety culture, enforce hygiene and NGMP standards, manage production with standard routines, and collaborate with maintenance, unions, and line stakeholders to deliver consistent results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Food Technology or Technical/Engineering.
• 3–5 years in a functional role within the food industry.
• Ability to address non-compliance effectively.
• Maintain a safe working environment through good housekeeping and safety practices.
• Strong staff management and objective-setting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and enforce hygiene and safety procedures.
• Ensure semi-finish and finished goods meet quality standards.
• Keep working areas clean and NGMP compliant.
• Manage production through operational reviews and standard routines.
• Delegate tasks and evaluate team performance.

• Lead the Safety Culture and conditions for a Safe Working Environment. Check and enforce personnel hygiene & safety procedures
• Ensure that Semi Finish Good and Finished Goods are consistently manufactured according to standards of quality and relevant manufacturing instructions (compliance).
• Ensure that the working areas are kept clean and are maintained in working order including all installations in accordance to Nestlé Good Manufacturing Practices (NGMP)
• Manage Production effectively through operational reviews and use Standard Routines to ensure sustainable results.
• Organizing & delegating assignments to the team members, assessing and evaluating the work performance of the teams
• Ensure constant dialogue with relevant stakeholders (line shift teams, Production Manager, Maintenance, Unions, functional representatives on the line).

**What will make you successful**

• Bachelor (S-1) Majoring Food Technology or Technical/Engineering
• 3-5 year experience in a functional role in Food industry - Having Experience in managing and engaging / motivating people
• Ability to positively confront and effectively deal with non-compliance,
• Ability to maintain a safe working environment through effective housekeeping and adherence to safety practices.
• Ability to ensure smooth operation through effective staff management and deployment Ability to set effective and challenging objectives
