Job summary

Faithfull The Brand in Bali is seeking a Fabric Sourcing & Merchandiser with 5+ years in fabrics merchandising within the garment industry. You will report to the Fabric Sourcing & Merchandiser Manager and play a pivotal role in production, development, and fabric operations.

Responsibilities include managing fabric orders, tracking shipments, maintaining fabric data, liaising with suppliers, and supporting cost margin analysis to optimise production.

Responsibilities

• Assist & Report to Fabric Sourcing & Merchandiser Manager.
• Follow up hand loom / strike off to meet deadlines.
• Follow up fabric PO, delivery and payment.
• Create & manage Fabric Order Report.
• Provide weekly fabric payment schedule to Finance.
• Arrange fabric shipments from suppliers to Bali Warehouse.
• Create local fabric tracker for Bali Warehouse.
• Create season fabric order recap (season, PO, qty, amount).
• Provide production fabric swatches to garment suppliers.
• Create fabric library for approved fabrics in Production.
• Maintain fabric inventory levels.
• Input, update and manage fabric data for production.
• Monitor dyeing fabric process and follow up.
• Control and follow up fabric order progress.
• Manage fabric administration / payments for production & development.
• Track & verify fabric invoices.
• Collect data for actual margin costing.
• Analyze data for leftover fabric dates from garment vendors.

About the Role:

The position of Fabric Sourcing and Merchandiser has become available at our Bali head office.

Working within the production & development department and reporting to the Fabric Sourcing and Merchandiser Manager. This position plays a vital role in the Production & Development Fabric Department and requires an experienced skill as a Fabric Sourcing & Merchandiser.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist & Report to Fabric Sourcing & Merchandiser Manager

Follow up the hand loom / strike off to be ready as per deadline (local & import) – Production & Development

Follow up fabric purchase order, fabric delivery & fabric payment.

Create & Manage Fabric Order Report.

Create, manage and provide fabric payment schedule to Finance every week (to be updated) based on Purchase Order made during pivot

Arrange fabric shipment from fabric suppliers and Bali Warehouse to garment suppliers

Create a local fabric tracker for FTB Bali Warehouse (in & out)

Create fabric order recap for every season (include: season, PO number, qty, ordered qty, shipped qty, purchased amount & paid amount)

Provide production fabric swatches for each garment suppliers before PPM.

Create fabric library for all approved fabric in Production.

Maintain and manage fabric inventory levels.

Input, update and manage fabric data for production and development

Monitor & follow up dyeing fabric process

Control & follow up fabric order progress

Manage fabric administration / fabric payment for production & development

Tracking & Verification for fabric invoices

Collect and manage data for actual margin costing

Analysis data for incoming leftover fabric date from garment vendor to FTB Bali

Skills

Proficiency in fabric sourcing, quality assessment, supplier management, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.

Strong communication skills, negotiation abilities, attention to detail, adaptability to fabric trends.

Working knowledge and understanding of the product creation, production & development process, especially in fabrics.

Extensive fabric mill contacts list

Understand certified fabrics and ethical sourcing.

Strong analytical and numerical skill to work out pivot sales in excel.

Pro-active & detail oriented, especially with colours

Requirements:

At least 5 years related working experience in fabrics Merchandiser Garment industry (Fabric sourcing and Purchasing)

Bachelor's degree in Textile engineering or other textile fabrication field preferred

Competent in English (written and verbal)

Good technical knowledge of fabrics- especially woven, knit Jersey, and knitwear.

Working knowledge and understanding of the product creation, production & development process, especially in fabrics.

Good personality, honest, independent, and able to work as a team.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Google Drive, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Be willing to work at our Bali office.
