Job summary

Perfetti Van Melle in Bogor, Indonesia is seeking a Process & Product Development Supervisor to lead R&D projects, scale recipes to manufacturing, and set process parameters for converting materials into finished products.

You will run industrial-scale trials, develop SOPs, ensure regulatory compliance for local and export products, and drive continuous improvement across processing lines while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline; preferred fields include Food Technology, Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year in R&D within FMCG industry.
• Proficient in English, spoken and written.
• Strong MS Office skills; knowledge of Minitab and Power BI is a plus.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPD projects from recipe to commercial production with cross-dept coordination.
• Conduct industrial-scale trials and prepare trial reports.
• Create and maintain SOPs and Work Instructions for processing lines.
• Assess raw material docs for regulatory compliance locally or for export.
• Drive continuous process improvement and close findings.
• Identify opportunities to improve process, material and recipe efficiency.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Lead and manage NPD projects, including scaling up product development from recipe to commercial production, defining process parameters for converting raw materials into finished products, and overseeing project completion through coordination with related departments.
• Conduct industrial-scale trials, including process parameter testing, and prepare comprehensive industrial trial reports.
• Set up and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions for use in the processing lines.
• Assess new raw material documentations to ensure their regulatory compliance for use in local and/or exported products.
• Lead and manage continuous process improvements projects to identify issues in the processing lines and ensure closure of the findings.
• Identify opportunities to improve process, material, and recipe efficiency.

OUR PERFECT CANDIDATE

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline, preferably Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Research and Development within the FMCG industry.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and data analysis. Additional skills with Minitab and Power BI are a plus.
• Proficient in project management and able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Able to work under pressure and meet targeted deadlines.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
