Job summary

PT Airtek Solusi Nusantara is seeking a motivated Support Estimator to assist in preparing project estimates, quotations, and tender documents for MEP and building systems, including HVAC, Lift, and Pump projects. You will review drawings, perform quantity take-offs, and collect supplier quotes to produce accurate cost estimates.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Sales, and Project teams to ensure estimates are timely, complete, and compliant with project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word for cost estimation and reporting.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage for reviewing drawings and specs.
• Ability to perform quantity take-offs, prepare BOQ, and analyze unit rates.
• Strong numerical and cost estimation skills with attention to accuracy.

Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated Support Estimator to join our team. As a Support Estimator, you will be responsible for supporting the preparation of project estimates, quotations, and tender documents for various MEP and building system projects, including HVAC, Lift, and Pump systems. Your role will include reviewing project drawings and specifications, preparing quantity take-offs, calculating material and labor requirements, collecting supplier quotations, and assisting in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates. You will work closely with the engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure that all estimates are accurate, timely, and aligned with project requirements.

How You Will Do it:

Estimation & Team Support:

Support the Sales, Engineering, and Project teams in preparing cost estimates and quotations for HVAC, Lift, and Pump projects.

Tender Process:

Support the tender process by reviewing project drawings, technical specifications, BOQ, and tender documents, as well as preparing the required estimation data.

Quantity Take-Off & Cost Estimation:

Perform quantity take-offs and estimate material, equipment, labor, and other project costs for RAB and quotation preparation.

RAB & Quotation Preparation:

Assist in preparing project budgets, cost calculations, and commercial quotations based on project requirements and technical specifications.

Supplier & Vendor Pricing:

Collect, compare, and follow up on material, equipment, and service prices from suppliers and vendors to support accurate cost estimation.

Document Review & Analysis:

Review drawings, specifications, BOQ, and project requirements to ensure that all relevant work items are properly identified and estimated.

Estimation Database & Templates:

Develop and maintain estimation templates, price databases, and historical project cost data to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the estimation process.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Project teams, and suppliers/vendors to obtain the information required for project estimation.

Accuracy & Deadlines:

Work accurately under pressure and meet tight tender and quotation deadlines while maintaining the quality and reliability of estimation results.

What We Look For :

Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering fields. Fresh graduates with a strong interest in project estimation are welcome to apply.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage, with relevant skills subject to assessment.

Able to perform quantity take-offs, prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), analyze unit rates, and calculate project costs for HVAC, Lift, Pump, or other MEP-related projects.

Basic understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and engineering principles, with the ability to review project documents and identify work requirements.

Computer literate, detail-oriented, accurate, and organized, with good analytical and numerical skills.

Honest, responsible, proactive, and able to work under pressure while meeting tight tender and quotation deadlines.

Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Project teams, and suppliers/vendors.
