Job summary

Smoore Technology Indonesia is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to lead planning, design coordination, tendering, and construction management for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems at our Pandaan, East Java facility. The role supports cleanroom environments and manufacturing utilities with strong emphasis on compliance and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP engineering or project management.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, R&D, or commercial building projects.
• Experience with HVAC and electrical systems highly preferred.
• Experience with cleanroom or manufacturing utilities is advantageous.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and common engineering software.
• Able to read and review MEP drawings and technical documents.
• Good command of English for workplace communication and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of Indonesian building regulations, safety requirements is advantageous.
• Knowledge of K3/HSE and SMKK is preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities

1. MEP Planning & Design Coordination

• Understand facility requirements and translate them into MEP technical requirements.
• Coordinate with design consultants to develop and optimize MEP solutions.
• Review MEP drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical proposals.
• Coordinate MEP requirements with production, R&D, facility, and other user departments.

2. Tendering & Technical Evaluation

• Prepare or review MEP technical specifications and tender requirements.
• Review contractors’ technical proposals and construction methods.
• Support technical evaluation and contractor selection.

3. MEP Construction Management

• Manage and supervise HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and related MEP works.
• Review method statements, shop drawings, material submittals, and equipment proposals.
• Monitor construction quality, schedule, safety, and installation standards.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Identify technical, cost, and implementation risks and propose solutions.

4. Testing, Commissioning & Handover

• Coordinate testing and commissioning of MEP systems.
• Verify system performance and resolve technical issues.
• Support inspection, acceptance, handover, and project documentation.

5. Facility / Cleanroom Engineering

• Support HVAC and utility systems for manufacturing and R&D environments.
• Experience with cleanroom, controlled environment, or manufacturing utility systems is preferred.
• Support facility expansion, modification, and capacity improvement projects.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Building Services Engineering, or related disciplines.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP engineering or project management.
3. Strong experience in industrial, manufacturing, R&D, or commercial building projects.
4. Experience in HVAC and electrical systems is highly preferred.
5. Experience with cleanroom, controlled environment, or manufacturing utilities is an advantage.
6. Proficient in AutoCAD and common engineering software.
7. Able to read and review MEP drawings and technical documents.
8. Good command of English for workplace communication and technical documentation.
9. Knowledge of Indonesian building regulations, PBG/SLF, electrical and fire safety requirements is an advantage.
10. Knowledge of K3/HSE and SMKK is preferred.
11. Valid SKK Konstruksi relevant to the discipline is an advantage.
