Job summary

Villa Kayu Raja in Seminyak, Bali seeks an experienced Engineering MEP professional on a contract basis to design, implement and oversee MEP systems for luxury villas and hospitality projects.

You will lead multidisciplinary design efforts, coordinate with architects, contractors and BIM specialists, conduct on-site inspections, and ensure compliance with Indonesian codes and international standards.

About the role

Villa Kayu Raja is seeking an experienced Engineering MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) professional to join our team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-end residential and hospitality projects in the beautiful location of Seminyak, Bali. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing MEP systems that ensure optimal functionality, efficiency, and compliance with international standards. Your expertise will be critical in delivering exceptional engineering solutions that enhance the overall quality and sustainability of our properties.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive MEP systems including mechanical HVAC, electrical distribution, and plumbing networks for villa and hospitality projects
• Prepare detailed MEP drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using industry-standard software
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to assess existing conditions and identify system requirements
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems
• Oversee MEP installations on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications and building codes
• Perform system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting to optimal performance
• Prepare cost estimates and project schedules for MEP components and installations
• Ensure all MEP systems meet local Balinese regulations, Indonesian building codes, and international standards
• Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams during implementation phases
• Document as-built conditions and maintain comprehensive project records

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification in MEP disciplines
• Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in MEP design and project management
• Proficiency with MEP design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and specialist HVAC/electrical design tools
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, refrigeration, and thermal comfort design
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and lighting design
• Thorough knowledge of plumbing and drainage systems, including water supply and waste management
• Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) and 3D coordination
• Familiarity with Indonesian building codes and Balinese construction regulations is highly advantageous
• Proven experience working on luxury residential, villa, or hospitality projects
• Excellent project management and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• Professional Engineering certification or licence is preferred
