Job summary

PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk in Jakarta seeks an experienced MEP Engineering Leader to supervise installations and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and codes on hotel and high-rise projects.

You will design, plan, and review HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, coordinate with consultants and contractors, and lead a technical team through testing, commissioning, and handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
• 8–10 years of experience in MEP.
• Experience with hotel projects and high-rise buildings.
• Strong ability to design, review, and interpret MEP drawings and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit or similar is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise MEP system installations during construction and renovation to ensure contractor compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and codes.
• Design, plan, and review MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection) ensuring integration with architecture and structure.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to resolve issues and optimize performance.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliable MEP operations.
• Conduct audits and inspections for compliance with local codes, health & safety, and hotel standards.
• Monitor MEP budgets and ensure cost-efficient project execution.
• Lead testing, commissioning, and handover, including as-built drawings and documentation.
• Prepare performance and progress reports and maintain maintenance logs and installation data.
• Collaborate with hotel operations to support efficient, sustainable hotel functions.
• Lead, develop, and motivate the MEP team through training and performance-driven work.

Job description

Supervise MEP system installations during construction and renovation projects to ensure contractor compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and applicable codes.

Design, plan, and review MEP systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection, ensuring seamless integration with architectural and structural designs.

Coordinate closely with consultants, contractors, and internal project team to solve technical issues and optimize system performance.

Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities by troubleshooting system issues and ensuring reliable MEP operations.

Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with local codes, health & safety regulations, and hotel operational standards.

Monitor and control MEP-related budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost-effective project execution.

Lead testing, commissioning, and handover processes, including the preparation of as-built drawings and technical documentation.

Prepare regular performance and progress reports, maintaining accurate records such as maintenance logs, inspection reports, and installation data.

Collaborate with hotel operational department to ensure MEP systems support efficient and sustainable hotel operations.

Lead, develop, and motivate the MEP technical team through structured training and a performance-driven work environment.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

Minimum 8–10 years of experience in MEP, preferably with prior experience as a consultant.

Proven experience handling hotel projects and highrise building, including renovation and new development

Strong ability to design, review, and interpret MEP technical drawings and specifications.

Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Proficient in relevant MEP design and coordination tools (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) is an advantage.

Detail oriented and able to perform under pressure.
