Siemens Energy invites applications for a Sales Application Engineer to join our Malaysian team. You will be part of an extensive service network in Asia Pacific and worldwide, supporting qualified proposals and commercial offers for service-based work.

The role emphasizes technical and commercial accuracy, stakeholder engagement, and process improvements across regions to grow the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience with major electrical contractor and quotations for service-based work.
• Engineering role experience or site/field service background beneficial.
• Experience in High-Voltage transmission industry in Asia Pacific.
• Proficient IT skills: Word, Excel; SAP and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs and develop technical and commercial offers with key scope.
• Lead cost integration and risk assessment prior to final pricing.
• Prepare tender docs including drawings, BOMs, data sheets, QHSE docs.
• Prepare RFQs for outside purchases and coordinate with supply chain.
• Interface with operations, engineering, and factories to optimize offerings.
• Identify cost/time savings in proposal development and lessons learned.
• Support sales during promotions, site visits and negotiations.
• Manage orders and revisions to orders; handle spare parts and supplier orders.
• Support development of proposal resources and go-to-market approaches.
• Propose localization and process improvements to grow the business.
