Job summary

TERA Data Centers seeks a dedicated Data Center Technician to support daily operation and maintenance of mission-critical infrastructure within its Indonesian hyperscale campuses.   • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
  • Fresh graduate or 1–3 years of experience in facility operations or maintenance within data centers or other critical infrastructure facilities.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts in a 24×7 environment.
  • Good understanding of workplace safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections of electrical, mechanical, and auxiliary facility equipment.
  • Execute preventive maintenance under supervision of Data Center Engineers.
  • Assist in corrective maintenance and equipment repair activities.
  • Monitor equipment operating conditions and report abnormalities.
  • Record readings, maintenance activities, and inspection results accurately.
  • Support routine operational rounds to verify facility conditions.
  • Assist with equipment startup, shutdown, and restoration activities per procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendors during maintenance, testing, and equipment replacement.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and safety-focused Data Center Technician to support the daily operation and maintenance of mission-critical infrastructure within our hyperscale data center campuses in Indonesia. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys hands-on technical work and takes pride in maintaining reliable, high-performance facility infrastructure. As a Data Center Technician, you will assist in routine inspections, preventive maintenance, equipment monitoring, and operational support activities to ensure the continuous availability of critical electrical and mechanical systems. Working closely with Data Center Engineers and Chief Engineer, you will contribute to maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient operations across TERA’s next-generation data center facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections of electrical, mechanical, and auxiliary facility equipment.
  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities under the supervision of Data Center Engineers.
  • Assist in corrective maintenance and equipment repair activities.
  • Monitor equipment operating conditions and promptly report abnormalities.
  • Record equipment readings, maintenance activities, and inspection results accurately.
  • Support routine operational rounds to verify facility conditions.
  • Assist with equipment startup, shutdown, and restoration activities following approved procedures.
  • Support vendors and contractors during maintenance, testing, and equipment replacement activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of engineering rooms, equipment spaces, and work areas.
  • Ensure maintenance tools, instruments, and spare parts are properly maintained and stored.
  • Assist with commissioning, Integrated System Testing (IST), and operational readiness activities.
  • Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), and Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures.
Operational Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections according to established checklists.
  • Monitor power, cooling, and environmental conditions during routine operational rounds.
  • Support routine testing of UPS systems, generators, batteries, cooling equipment, pumps, and fire protection systems.
  • Assist with equipment isolation and restoration during planned maintenance.
  • Report equipment defects, alarms, and operational abnormalities to the Data Center Engineer.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and operational logs.
  • Support inventory counting and spare parts management.
  • Participate in emergency response activities when required.
  • Attend technical training, safety programs, and competency development initiatives.
  • Promote a safe working environment by complying with company operational and safety procedures.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Fresh graduate or 1–3 years of experience in facility operations or maintenance within one or more of the following industries: Data Centers, Power Plants, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Mining, Aviation, Hospitals, Telecommunications, Other Critical Infrastructure Facilities
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts in a 24×7 operational environment.
  • Good understanding of workplace safety practices.
Required Skills
