Job summary

At Kyndryl, a L2 Electrical / HVAC Engineer position in Jakarta focuses on maintaining the AI data center's cooling infrastructure, limited to CDUs and secondary loops. You’ll work with BDx engineers on pumps, heat exchangers, and facility cooling systems, ensuring uptime and safety in a demanding environment.

Requirements include a technical degree and 3–5 years of hands-on experience with cooling systems, BMS controls, and a willingness to provide 24x7 coverage.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 3–5 years operating and maintaining mission-critical HVAC/cooling systems.
• Experience with chillers, cooling towers, CRAH/AHU systems, BMS controls.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs and mechanical drawings.
• Willing to provide 24×7 shift/on-call support.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, and maintain critical electrical and HVAC systems in a 24x7 AI data center.
• Provide operational relief coverage for shift engineers and facility teams.
• Support UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers, CRAH/CRAC units, chilled water systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and incident response.
• Monitor facility performance via BMS/DCIM and respond to alarms.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, safety standards, and uptime requirements.

Education

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, HVAC Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or equivalent recognized technical qualification
