Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer (Data Center) to design and deliver advanced mechanical cooling systems for mission-critical facilities in Jakarta. You will oversee heat load calculations, cooling system layouts, and equipment selection, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure energy-efficient performance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data center cooling, strong knowledge of DX, CRAH/CRAC, chilled water systems, and proficiency with AutoCAD and CFD tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC system design, thermal engineering, MEP engineering, or mechanical project delivery.
• Proven experience leading engineering activities within data center or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on experience designing or delivering large-scale data center cooling systems.

Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive HVAC and mechanical cooling solutions for large-scale data center facilities, including heat load calculations, airflow analysis, piping layouts, and BOQ.
• Develop and optimize cooling system designs covering chilled water systems, DX, CRAH, CRAC, cooling towers, pumps, piping networks, air handling systems, and containment solutions.
• Perform thermal analysis and evaluate cooling system performance to ensure efficiency and reliability.
• Select and evaluate HVAC equipment and mechanical infrastructure for energy efficiency and compatibility.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HVAC with electrical, BMS, and other facility systems.
• Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and solution clarification sessions with clients and stakeholders.
