Job summary

PT Lintas Niaga Jaya in Jakarta is seeking a Customer Service EMKL Import professional to manage end-to-end import shipments in a ISO-certified logistics company.

You will coordinate with shippers, suppliers, and forwarders, verify documents, monitor customs clearance, and provide regular updates to customers. Proficiency in MS Office and English is required. Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years experience in import customer service.

• Graduated with a D3 or S1 degree in any field.
• 2–3 years experience in customer service import in logistics, freight forwarding, or manufacturing.
• Understanding of end-to-end import processes, PIB/BC, shipping control, and data validation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Able to communicate in English (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Compose shipment plans based on departure schedules (ETD).
• Coordinate with shippers, suppliers, origin agents, and forwarders regarding ETD, booking readiness, cargo details, container types, and special handling.
• Ensure shipment plans align with customer requirements (SLA, production schedules, cut-off and priorities).
• Verify completeness and accuracy of shipment and customs documents (shipper/consignee, HS code, quantity/weight, value, incoterms, port, vessel/flight, container, seal number).
• Maintain traceability and version control of documents according to SOP.
• Monitor ETA/ATA and manage pre-alert documentation.
• Prepare PIB draft, obtain customer approval, submit PIB, and monitor customs clearance progress until SPPB issuance.
• Arrange delivery processes and complete shipment closing.
• Prepare reports and provide regular shipment updates to customers.

Job description

Customer Service EMKL Import role in a logistics company certified ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and AEO. The position involves managing import shipments end-to-end, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, ensuring document compliance, and facilitating customs clearance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Compose shipment plans based on departure schedules (ETD)
• Coordinate with shippers, suppliers, origin agents, and forwarders regarding ETD, stuffing plans, booking readiness, cargo details (quantity, weight, measurement), container types, and special handling (DG, reefer, oversize)
• Ensure shipment plans align with customer requirements (SLA, production schedules, cut-off, and priorities)
• Verify completeness and accuracy of shipment and customs documents (shipper/consignee, goods description, HS code per customer requirements, quantity/weight, value, incoterms, port, vessel/flight, container, and seal number)
• Maintain traceability and version control of documents (draft and final) according to SOP and applicable checklists
• Monitor ETA/ATA and manage pre-alert documentation
• Prepare draft PIB, request customer approval, submit PIB, and monitor customs clearance progress until SPPB issuance
• Arrange delivery processes and complete shipment closing
• Prepare reports and provide regular shipment updates to customers

About you

• Minimum D3 or S1 education from any field
• Minimum 2-3 years experience as customer service import in logistics, freight forwarding, or manufacturing companies
• Understanding of end-to-end import processes, including document completeness and data validation, customs operations (PIB and BC response), shipping control and scheduling, and basic compliance and ISO knowledge
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Able to communicate in English (verbal and written)
