Job summary

PT. Lintas Bahari Nusantara, a sea-freight services provider in Indonesia, seeks a crewing coordinator to manage crew documents, agreements, and changes. You will coordinate with ships, agencies, and clients, ensuring compliance with MLC 2006, STCW, ISM, and flag state requirements.

The role requires 1–2 years in crewing, strong English, and proficiency in MS Office. You will work closely with the office, vessels, and crew to maintain accurate records and smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree; preference for maritime, management, or business fields.
• 1–2 years crewing/manning agency experience; fresh graduates with maritime knowledge considered.
• Understanding of seafarer documents and certifications (seaman’s book, COC/COP, STCW).
• Meticulous, organized, and able to manage large volumes of documents.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Strong English communication, both spoken and written.
• Able to work under pressure and handle last-minute crew changes.
• Experience coordinating with ships, agencies, crew, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage, verify, and archive crew documents (passports, seaman’s books, COC/COP, medical certificates, visas).
• Prepare seafarer employment agreements (SEA).
• Arrange crew sign-on/off (tickets, visas, accommodations).
• Coordinate with port agents, ships, and other parties for crew changes.
• Ensure crewing processes comply with MLC 2006, STCW, ISM, and flag state rules.
• Serve as liaison between office, vessel, and crew for admin/ops needs.
• Prepare routine reports on crew status, certificates expiry, and contracts.
• Manage data in the company’s crewing system.
