PT. Lintas Bahari Nusantara, a sea-freight services provider in Indonesia, seeks a crewing coordinator to manage crew documents, agreements, and changes. You will coordinate with ships, agencies, and clients, ensuring compliance with MLC 2006, STCW, ISM, and flag state requirements.
The role requires 1–2 years in crewing, strong English, and proficiency in MS Office. You will work closely with the office, vessels, and crew to maintain accurate records and smooth operations.
Manage, verify, and archive crew documents (passports, seaman’s books, COC/COP, medical certificates, visas, etc.).
Prepare seafarer employment agreements (SEA).
Arrange crew sign-on/sign-off (tickets, visas, accommodations).
Coordinate with port agents, ships, and relevant parties for crew change processes.
Ensuring all crewing processes comply with regulations (MLC 2006, STCW, ISM Code, flag state requirements).
Serving as a liaison between the office, the vessel, and the crew regarding administrative and operational needs.
Preparing routine reports on crew status, expired certificates, and contract terms.
Managing data in the company’s crewing system.
Minimum education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in any field (preference given to Management, Shipping/Maritime, Business Administration, or related fields).
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a crewing/manning agency position (recent graduates with strong knowledge of the maritime industry may be considered).
Understanding of seafarer documents and certifications (seaman’s book, COC/COP, STCW).
Meticulous, organized, and able to manage large volumes of documents.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Strong communication skills, including in English (spoken and written).
Able to work under pressure and handle urgent situations (e.g., last‑minute crew changes).
Experienced in coordinating with various parties (ships, agencies, crew, and clients).
