Job summary

Tunas Group is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer in Batam to join our growing project. The role involves inspecting buildings, managing maintenance and repairs, and developing preventive plans to ensure safety and quality within mall environments.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in property or facility management. Mall/hotel experience is an advantage; teamwork and safety knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 2-3 years of experience in Civil Engineering, building maintenance or facility management.
• Experience in mall, hotel or commercial building is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of buildings and civil elements to identify damage and risks.
• Manage maintenance and repair works for walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, doors and other civil elements.
• Develop preventive and corrective maintenance plans for civil works.
• Troubleshoot causes of building damage and recommend repair methods.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, tenants and internal departments for maintenance.
• Prepare work requests, inspection and maintenance reports and documentation.
• Monitor condition of common and tenant areas within mall environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, structures, and civil elements to identify damage, defects, and potential risks.
• Handle and follow up on building maintenance and repair works, including walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, doors, windows, waterproofing, drainage, and other civil elements.
• Develop preventive and corrective maintenance plans for civil works.
• Troubleshoot and analyze the causes of building damage or defects and provide appropriate repair method recommendations.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, tenants, and relevant departments in carrying out maintenance and repair works.
• Prepare work requests, inspection reports, maintenance reports, and work documentation.
• Monitor the condition of common areas, tenant areas, back-of-house areas, service areas, and other areas within the mall environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2-3 years of experience in Civil Engineering, Building Maintenance, Property Management, Facility Management, or a related field.
• Experience working in a mall, hotel, commercial building, property, or facility management is an advantage.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of K3 (Occupational Health & Safety) is an advantage.
