Job summary

PT. Mega Star Persada is seeking a Site Engineer to support and oversee MEP works on site in Batam. You will ensure activities align with drawings, project requirements, quality standards, and schedules, coordinating with supervisors and site teams.

The ideal candidate has a D3/S1 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, at least 3 years' experience in MEP, shipyard exposure preferred, and proficiency in AutoCAD and English for on-site communication.

Qualifications

• D3/S1 degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Shipyard experience preferred.
• Proficient in reading technical drawings.
• Experience with AutoCAD and shop/as-built drawings.
• Experience creating progress reports, RFIs, and QA/QC documents.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor day-to-day MEP activities on site.
• Ensure installation works follow approved drawings and project specs.
• Read, interpret, and review technical drawings (shop and as-built).
• Prepare and maintain progress reports, RFIs, and QA/QC documents.
• Coordinate with supervisors, subcontractors, and site teams for smooth execution.
• Monitor progress and report site issues or discrepancies.
• Assist in resolving technical issues and site actions.
• Ensure activities meet project quality and documentation requirements.

We are looking for a Site Engineer to support and oversee MEP works on site. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that site activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project requirements, quality standards, and schedules.

This role requires strong technical understanding, site coordination skills, and the ability to work closely with supervisors and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor day-to-day MEP activities on site.
• Ensure installation works are carried out in accordance with approved technical drawings and project specifications.
• Read, interpret, and review technical drawings, including shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Prepare and maintain progress reports, RFI (Request for Information), and QA/QC documentation.
• Coordinate with supervisors, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor work progress and report site issues or discrepancies to the relevant parties.
• Assist in resolving technical issues and coordinating necessary site actions.
• Ensure site activities comply with project quality and documentation requirements.

What We're Looking For

• D3/S1 degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in MEP projects.
• Shipyard experience is preferred.
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and using AutoCAD, including shop and as-built drawings.
• Experienced in preparing progress reports, RFI, and QA/QC documentation.
• Strong coordination and communication skills with supervisors and site teams.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Willing to work on-site in Batam.
