CDU & Secondary Cooling Engineer, Data Center

Job summary

PT Triple-E seeks a skilled HVAC engineer to maintain the AI data center's cooling infrastructure. You will monitor CDUs, secondary cooling loops, pumps and heat exchangers, working with engineers to sustain reliability and performance in a 24×7 critical environment.

You will interpret P&IDs and BMS alarms, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and coordinate with IT teams and OEMs during incidents to ensure uninterrupted cooling operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in mechanical/building services/HVAC engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience operating mission-critical HVAC/cooling systems.
• Knowledge of chillers, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers and BMS controls.
• Experience with liquid cooling, CDUs and secondary cooling loops is highly desirable.
• Able to read P&IDs, mechanical drawings and equipment schematics.
• Able to troubleshoot temperature, flow, pressure and leak-detection issues.
• Understanding data-centre cooling redundancy (N+1 / 2N) and maintenance/failover procedures.
• Familiar with SOP/MOP/EOP, change and incident management, RCA.
• Willing to provide 24×7 shift/on-call support.
• OEM training/certification for CDU/liquid cooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keep CDUs and secondary cooling loops running reliably at target performance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot temperature, flow, pressure, dew-point and alarms.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CDUs and loops.
• Analyze trends to identify early degradation.
• Manage cooling redundancy and failover.
• Collaborate with data center engineers for pumps, heat exchangers and facility cooling systems.
• Coordinate with L1 technicians, IT teams and OEMs during incidents.
