Job summary

Safeguard Global Recruiting is seeking a Data Center HVAC technician to operate and maintain high-performance/AI data center cooling systems in Jakarta. The role requires hands-on experience with CDU operation, pumps, manifolds and advanced cooling technologies.

You will monitor and troubleshoot cooling circuits, respond to alarms, and ensure safety and energy-efficiency standards in a Tier III/IV or AI-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Data Center HVAC and liquid-cooling systems.
• Hands-on knowledge of CDU operation, pumps, manifolds and cooling circuits.
• Familiarity with Direct-to-Chip cooling, Rear-Door Heat Exchangers and hybrid cooling.
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings and work with N+1/2N cooling systems.
• Experience with BMS/DCIM monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of coolant management, leak detection and contamination control.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Data Center HVAC and liquid-cooling systems for high-performance/AI servers.
• Monitor and maintain CDU, pumps, cooling circuits and manifolds.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on cooling equipment.
• Monitor temperature, pressure and fluid flow using BMS/DCIM systems.
• Respond to cooling alarms and troubleshoot issues to prevent downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintain service/operation records.
• Support installation and integration of liquid-cooling systems for high-density server racks.
• Follow data center safety, environmental and energy-efficiency standards.

Education

Diploma in HVAC/R or equivalent
