Job summary

Zuma is expanding its presence in Sulawesi and is looking for a Branch Manager to lead growth across Makassar and Manado. You will own the expansion roadmap, open new stores in malls and street locations, and build a high-performing team to drive brand presence and profitability.

Based in Makassar with travel to Manado, you will oversee site selection, leasing, branding, and operations, delivering data-driven insights and successful store openings across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of retail experience, with mall, street, and resort openings.
• Strong knowledge of mall leasing processes and operations.
• Experience in franchisee recruitment and training.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
• Based in Makassar with ability to travel to Manado.
• Familiarity with the Sulawesi retail market is a plus.

Now we’re expanding east, and we’re looking for a Branch Managerto lead our growth across Makassar and Manado.

The Mission

This isn’t a “maintain what’s already there” role. It’s a build it, own it, grow it role. You’ll decide where we open, who we hire, how we launch, and how we win across Sulawesi, from scouting the perfect mall location in Makassar to cutting the ribbon on opening day in Manado, and keeping every store running strong after that.

What You’ll Do

Area Development

• Build a data-driven expansion roadmap for Makassar, Manado, and the wider Sulawesi region
• Research market trends, competitors, and consumer behavior in South and North Sulawesi to guide growth
• Deliver periodic reports and insights on area performance and opportunities

New Store Openings (Mall Focus)

• Identify and evaluate the best mall and street store locations in Makassar and Manado
• Lead site selection, lease negotiation, and store setup through to grand opening
• Coordinate store layout, branding, merchandising, and operational readiness
• Run marketing and promotional activations to drive footfall and brand awareness

Branch Operations & Leadership

• Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing, service-oriented team in both cities
• Oversee daily operations with a focus on compliance, efficiency, and profitability
• Build strong relationships with mall management and landlords

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of experience in retail (fashion or beauty)
• Proven track record opening stores in malls, street locations, and resorts, including site selection, leasing, setup, and launch
• Strong knowledge of retail operations and mall leasing processes
• Experience in franchisee recruitment, training, and operational support
• Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive for growth and execution
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus)
• Based in Makassar and willing to travel regulary to Manado
• Familiarity with the Sulawesi retail market and local consumer culture is a plus
