POSITION: BRANCH MANAGER - MEDAN

Placement: Medan, North Sumatra

JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Branch Manager (Medan), you will take full accountability for leading, managing, and optimizing all operational activities and business performance across our Medan branch. You will be responsible for overseeing regional exhibition contracting, MICE projects, corporate events, and custom booth setups while driving local business growth. In this pivotal role, you will lead cross-functional branch teams, manage regional budgets and vendor relations, ensure flawless on-ground execution, and take complete ownership of achieving the branch's revenue, operational efficiency, and profitability targets.

WHO WE’R LOOKING FOR

• Minimum Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Management, Business Management, Event Management, Industrial Engineering, or any related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project-based industries such as MICE, exhibition contracting, event production, interior contractor, or construction contractor.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a managerial or leadership role overseeing business operations, team management, and performance targets.
• Proven track record of managing end-to-end branch/regional operations, budget execution, and financial performance.
• Strong leadership, executive decision-making, strategic planning, and crisis management skills.
• Experienced in managing regional client relations, event organizers, venue management, sub-contractors, and local production crews.
• Solid understanding of event production, technical setups, site management, and project logistics.
• Sharp business acumen with strong skills in budgeting, cost estimation, project scheduling, and revenue forecasting.
• High level of integrity, accountability, discipline, and strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Office and familiar with project management or ERP systems.
• Deep knowledge of the local MICE and corporate market dynamics in Medan and North Sumatra is a strong advantage.
• Willing to work flexible hours (including weekends and public holidays during project setups) and travel as required by project needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Branch Leadership & Operations: Drive, supervise, and optimize all daily operations, administration, and technical workflows for the Medan branch to ensure maximum productivity and operational efficiency.
• Target & Revenue Ownership: Take full responsibility for achieving the branch’s annual sales targets, project profitability goals, and operational KPIs set by the Head Office.
• Project & Field Execution: Oversee the end-to-end planning, production, technical execution, on-site setup, and dismantling of all regional exhibition and MICE projects.
• Team Supervision & Development: Lead, mentor, and evaluate cross-functional branch teams (operations, project sales, creative, and administration) to foster a culture of discipline and operational excellence.
• Client & Stakeholder Management: Build and nurture strong long-term relationships with regional clients, government bodies, PEOs/PCOs, venue managers, and key industry stakeholders in Medan and surrounding areas.
• Vendor & Supply Chain Oversight: Negotiate with and manage local sub-contractors, material suppliers, and on-site labor crews to ensure high-quality execution at competitive costs.
• Financial & Budget Control: Manage branch operational budgets, monitor project cost realization (RAB vs. Actual), and control expenditures to maximize profitability margins.
• Head Office Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular strategic reports to Head Office executive leadership covering branch sales pipelines, project statuses, financial health, and operational performance.
