Job summary

PT Uniair Indotama Cargo seeks an experienced Branch Manager to lead daily freight forwarding, warehousing, and distribution across the North Sumatra branch. You will drive sales, oversee the P&L, budget, and cash flow, and develop both operations and commercial teams while building relationships with airlines, shippers, customs, and port authorities.

Participation in strategic planning and performance reporting to head office is required, with the placement based in North Sumatra.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, business, or related field.
• 5–6 years of branch manager or similar role in freight forwarding or supply chain.
• Strong knowledge of export-import, domestic operations, customs procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily branch operations (freight forwarding, warehousing, distribution).
• Formulate and execute sales and business development strategies to achieve branch revenue targets.
• Manage branch P&L, operating budget, and cash flow.
• Develop and mentor operational and commercial teams at the branch.
• Establish and maintain relationships with corporate clients, airlines, shipping lines, and authorities.
• Report progress to head office management.

Job description

Lead and oversee all daily branch operations (freight forwarding, warehousing, and distribution) to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.

Formulate and execute sales and business development strategies to achieve branch revenue targets.

Assume full responsibility for managing the branch's Profit & Loss (P&L), operating budget, and cash flow.

Build, direct, and develop the performance of both operational and commercial teams at the branch.

Establish and maintain strong working relationships with corporate clients, airlines, shipping lines, customs authorities, and local port/airport authorities.

Report operational and financial performance progress regularly to head office management.

Qualifications:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in any major (Logistics Management, Transportation, Business, or relevant fields preferred).

Minimum 5–6 years of work experience in a similar position (Branch Manager) within the freight forwarding or supply chain industry.

In-depth understanding of logistics operational workflows (export-import, domestic, customs) and sales strategies.

Strong leadership qualities, as well as excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Target-oriented mindset, sharp business acumen, and high integrity.

Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is an added advantage.
