As a full-time Barista, you will operate coffee equipment, maintain cleanliness, and deliver friendly, professional service while collaborating with the team to ensure smooth service across shifts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Barista in a busy hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of espresso machines, grinders and coffee equipment.
• Ability to create high-quality espresso-based drinks with consistency.
• Excellent customer service and ability to work in a team.
• Latte art proficiency or willingness to develop.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks (lattes, cappuccinos, flat whites) with quality and consistency.
• Operate coffee equipment with precision and maintain hygiene standards.
• Take orders, recommend beverages, and ensure accuracy during service.
• Maintain friendly customer interactions and professional service.
• Prepare non-coffee beverages (tea, smoothies, hot chocolate) as needed.
• Keep beverage prep area clean and well-stocked with ingredients.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs to management.
• Create visually appealing beverage presentations with latte art where possible.
• Handle cash and card transactions securely and accurately.
• Collaborate with team during peak periods to maintain service levels.

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Barista to join the team at Padel Academy Canggu in Bali. This is a full-time position where you will be the heart of our beverage service, crafting exceptional coffee and drinks whilst creating memorable experiences for our guests. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in enhancing the overall experience at our padel facility, ensuring that every customer receives high-quality beverages in a welcoming and professional environment. This role offers the opportunity to showcase your barista expertise whilst working in a dynamic hospitality setting within the thriving Bali community.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based drinks, including lattes, cappuccinos, flat whites and other speciality coffees
• Operate espresso machines and other coffee equipment with precision and care, maintaining consistent quality standards
• Take customer orders efficiently and accurately, providing recommendations based on customer preferences
• Maintain excellent customer service and engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Prepare alternative beverages including smoothies, juices, hot chocolate and tea drinks
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the beverage preparation area, including regular equipment cleaning and sanitisation
• Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups and other ingredients, communicating replenishment needs to management
• Create visually appealing presentations of beverages with latte art and garnishes where appropriate
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately and securely
• Contribute to a positive team environment and support colleagues during busy service periods

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar coffee preparation role, ideally in a busy hospitality environment
• Strong knowledge of espresso machines, grinders and other coffee equipment
• Ability to create high-quality espresso-based drinks with consistency and attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage warmly with diverse clientele
• Proficiency in latte art or a willingness to develop this skill
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Ability to work efficiently during peak service times and manage multiple orders
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Knowledge of specialty coffee culture and current beverage trends is advantageous
• Experience in a sports or leisure facility environment would be beneficial
