Qualifications

• Minimum proven Barista experience in hospitality.

• Commitment to hygiene and food safety standards.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our beverage team at PT The Paralian Uluwatu in Badung, Bali. This is a contract position that offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused hospitality environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality coffee and speciality beverages whilst delivering exceptional customer service to our diverse clientele. Your expertise in espresso-based drinks and beverage preparation will be integral to creating a memorable experience for every guest who visits our venue.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and speciality drinks with precision and consistency
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and sanitised according to hygiene standards
• Greet guests with warmth and professionalism, taking orders accurately and responding to individual preferences and dietary requirements
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other beverage preparation equipment safely and effectively
• Stock and inventory beverage supplies, coffee beans, syrups, and other materials, alerting management when supplies require replenishment
• Develop and maintain knowledge of our beverage menu, including coffee origins, flavour profiles, and preparation techniques
• Provide friendly and attentive service whilst maintaining efficiency during peak service periods
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and support colleagues when required
• Follow all food safety, health, and hygiene protocols consistently

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar coffee preparation role within a hospitality setting
• Strong knowledge of espresso-based beverages and coffee preparation techniques
• Demonstrated ability to operate espresso machines and other specialised beverage equipment
• Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for creating positive guest experiences
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining consistent quality standards in beverage preparation
• Physical stamina and the ability to work standing for extended periods
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is advantageous
• A passion for the art of coffee and a willingness to continue developing your barista skills
