Job summary

ABB in Indonesia seeks a technically adept professional to support the sales organization during the proposal process, acting as the technical focal point for Australia and Southeast Asia. You will help size, configure, and quote automation solutions and provide post-purchase technical support.

Leveraging CPQ, SoFa, and BOL, you will drive timely quotations, ensure compliance with margin policies, and coordinate handovers to delivery teams within Salesforce.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent proven technical experience with exposure to automation systems, control architecture, or industrial equipment.
• Strong written and verbal English language skills with excellent customer service instincts — confidently communicating technical concepts to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Willingness to transition from site-based work to an office technical role and learn commercial processes and systems.
• Proficiency with Salesforce.com and MS Office; ability to respond quickly to unforeseen developments and take ownership of solutions.
• Understanding of commercial terms and company policies, with strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the team's technical lead for ABB Automation Software and Hardware solutions, advising customers on system architecture, upgrades, licensing expansions, and modernization strategies.
• Use ABB tools (CPQ, SoFa, and BOL) to size, configure, and quote automation hardware, software upgrades, and modernization solutions.
• Provide first-line technical support after purchase of parts, software, or licenses; diagnose issues and escalate complex cases to engineering or factory support teams.
• Prepare Spare Parts Analysis and Lifecycle Reports to support proactive DCS sales initiatives.
• Assist with spare parts enquiries and quotations across product portfolios as knowledge expands.
• Manage the complete RFQ lifecycle from enquiry to quotation submission; ensure compliance with PA margin requirements and company guidelines.
