Job summary

AimBig Employment Pty Ltd client is a boutique law firm in Jakarta with a general corporate practice and a portfolio dominated by global MNCs. The role advises local and international clients on broad corporate matters and manages corporate transactions.

You will draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, provide ongoing legal support including retainer arrangements, and coordinate with global clients and stakeholders to deliver clear, timely advice while building strong lasting client

Qualifications

• Indonesian-qualified lawyer with 3–7 years PQE in general corporate matters.
• Strong English communication skills; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Experience managing global or multinational clients on corporate matters.

Responsibilities

• Advise and support local and international clients on a broad range of general corporate matters.
• Manage corporate transactions and projects, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements and corporate documents.
• Provide ongoing legal support to clients, including under retainer arrangements, and help address their recurring legal and business needs.
• Coordinate directly with global clients and internal or external stakeholders to deliver clear, timely and practical legal advice.
• Identify legal risks and explain their commercial implications, proposing workable solutions that align with clients' objectives.
• Manage matters independently from initial client discussions through execution and completion, escalating complex issues where appropriate.
• Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to the firm's continued development of its corporate practice.

The Successful Applicant

Key requirements

• Indonesian-qualified lawyer with 3-7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in general corporate matters, ideally gained at a law firm.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience managing global or multinational clients on corporate matters, with confidence in handling client communication and expectations.
• Strong technical legal skills, including drafting, reviewing and advising on corporate and commercial matters.
• Commercially minded, able to understand clients' business priorities and provide practical, solution-oriented advice.
• Self-starter with a proactive approach, sound judgement and the ability to manage multiple matters with limited supervision.
