Job description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic International Lawyer to join our legal team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for managing, strategizing, and resolving complex multinational commercial disputes and cross-border business cases across key jurisdictions, including Singapore, Indonesia, China, and other international markets.

The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in international commercial arbitration, cross-border litigation management, multi-jurisdictional negotiations, and strategic conflict resolution involving foreign entities, regulatory bodies, and partner counsel.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or equivalent from an accredited law faculty

• Bar Admission: Qualified and admitted to practice law in at least one recognized jurisdiction (e.g., Singapore, Indonesia, China, UK, US, or other common/civil law jurisdictions).

• Experience:

  • Minimum of [5–8+] years of relevant post-qualification experience (PQE) specializing in international dispute resolution, cross-border commercial disputes, or international arbitration.

  • Proven track record of handling and resolving multi-jurisdictional disputes

• Skills & Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of international arbitration rules, enforcement of foreign judgments/arbitral awards (New York Convention), and comparative commercial law.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance legal risks with pragmatic business objectives.

  • Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Languages:

  • Full professional fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.

  • Working proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and/or Mandarin Chinese is highly desirable given the regional focus of the role.
