Job summary

Aninda Wardhana and Partners seeks a senior associate to advise on Indonesian corporate and commercial matters, draft and negotiate major agreements, and manage corporate transactions. The role requires leadership in project delivery and mentorship of junior lawyers.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of post-qualification experience, fluency in English and Indonesian, and strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills. Energy/mining infrastructure experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably at a reputable corporate law firm.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian corporate and commercial law, including governance, company law, and M&A.
• Excellent drafting, analysis, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in English and Indonesian (written and spoken).
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Experience or expertise in energy, mining, infrastructure, or construction sectors is a plus.
• Professionalism, integrity, attention to detail, and sound commercial judgment.
• Able to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on corporate and commercial matters under Indonesian law.

Job description

• Provide legal advice on corporate and commercial matters in accordance with Indonesian laws and regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including commercial agreements, shareholders' agreements, joint venture agreements, corporate documents, and other transactional documents.
• Handle corporate transactions, legal due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and regulatory compliance matters.
• Advise clients on corporate governance, company law, investment, licensing, and general commercial issues.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare legal opinions, memoranda, and regulatory analyses.
• Represent clients in negotiations, meetings with government authorities, and other legal proceedings where required.
• Lead and manage legal projects while coordinating with clients, government institutions, and internal teams.
• Mentor and supervise junior lawyers to ensure high-quality legal work and professional development.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with clients by delivering practical, commercially sound, and timely legal solutions.

Requirements :

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.)
• Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably gained at a reputable corporate law firm.
• Strong understanding of Indonesian corporate and commercial law, including corporate governance, company law, mergers and acquisitions, and general commercial transactions.
• Excellent legal drafting, legal analysis, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Indonesian
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships with clients.
• Experience or expertise in energy, mining, infrastructure, or construction sectors will be considered a significant advantage.
