Job summary

PT Herdento Global Solusi is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to lead end-to-end geospatial projects in Bandung. You will oversee planning, scheduling, budgeting, vendor coordination, and stakeholder communication to ensure quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography or GIS-related field.
• At least 1 year of professional work experience in project management, coordination or GIS/geospatial projects.
• Strong communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
• Ability to translate client requirements into technical tasks for the team.
• Familiarity with GIS software and geospatial data processing is a plus.

Job description

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end delivery of geospatial projects. This role oversees project planning, execution, scheduling, budgeting, vendor coordination, stakeholder communication, risk management, and documentation, ensuring alignment with project requirements and technical standards. The Assistant Project Manager also coordinates cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure geospatial data, products, and deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while remaining aligned with overall project objectives and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of projects from initiation to completion.

Develop and maintain project timelines, milestones, task assignments, and progress tracking.

Coordinate cross-functional technical teams, external vendors, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Translate client and project requirements into clear tasks, technical objectives, and project deliverables in coordination with the technical team.

Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, dependencies, delays, and technical or operational issues, and coordinate appropriate follow-up actions.

Manage project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, progress reports, technical documentation, testing results, and final deliverables.

Coordinate procurement, vendor communication, component or system development progress, and other project-related activities.

Support budget monitoring, cost tracking, and documentation of project-related expenses.

Coordinate project reviews, testing activities, system demonstrations, and other project milestones with relevant stakeholders.

Ensure project deliverables are aligned with agreed requirements, specifications, timelines, and quality standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geoinformatics, Cartography & Remote Sensing, Geospatial Engineering, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Management, or a related field.

At least 1 year of professional work experience in project management, project coordination or GIS/geospatial projects.

Good communication, presentation, problem-solving, and reporting skills.

Able to understand technical requirements and communicate them clearly to different stakeholders.

Proactive, detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Familiar with project management tools, task management platforms, GIS software, or other relevant technical tools is a plus.

Familiar with Web GIS and geospatial applications is an advantage.

Familiar with Python or other programming/scripting languages for geospatial data processing and automation is an advantage.

Understanding of geospatial data processing, workflow automation, and spatial analysis is a plus.

Fresh graduates with relevant academic projects, internships, organizational experience, or demonstrated interest in project management and geospatial technology are welcome to apply.
