Esri Indonesia is seeking a GIS Consultant to support and optimize enterprise GIS environments by managing ArcGIS platforms, resolving technical challenges, delivering spatial data solutions, and providing expert guidance to customers while ensuring system reliability and operational excellence.

You will be a key member of the Managed Services team, handling incidents, service requests, problem investigations, and maintenance tasks in line with SLAs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree as listed or related field.
  • 3-5 years of GIS, ArcGIS, technical support, or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro; GIS data management is essential.
  • Knowledge of Python scripting, GIS automation, and Enterprise Geodatabases is advantageous.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support day-to-day operation, administration, monitoring, and maintenance of customer GIS environments including ArcGIS platforms.
  • Monitor system health, availability, performance, and capacity; ensure SLAs.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and service requests related to GIS apps, services, data, and access.
  • Perform root cause analyses by reviewing logs, configurations, metrics, and behavior to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide workarounds, resolutions, and preventive recommendations; communicate status to customers.
  • Escalate complex issues and coordinate with senior consultants, infrastructure, DBAs, security, cloud providers, and Esri Support.
  • Support GIS data management activities including data validation, migration, synchronization, and publishing.

We are looking for a GIS Consultant to support and optimize enterprise GIS environments by managing ArcGIS platforms, resolving technical challenges, delivering spatial data solutions, and providing expert guidance to customers while ensuring system reliability and operational excellence.

About the Role

You will be the GIS Consultant for Managed Services team for ensuring the stable, secure, and efficient operation of customer GIS platforms through proactive support, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities..

In this role, you will serves as a key member of the Managed Services team, handling customer incidents, service requests, problem investigations, and operational tasks in accordance with agreed service levels (SLAs).

You will play a key role inperforming technical analysis, troubleshooting complex issues, identifying root causes, implementing workarounds, and recommending corrective and preventive actions to minimize service disruptions and improve system reliability.

What you will be doing:
  • Manage and support the day-to-day operation, administration, monitoring, and maintenance of customer GIS environments, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, and related GIS infrastructure.
  • Monitor system health, availability, performance, and service capacity to ensure compliance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and proactively identify potential issues before they impact business operations.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve customer incidents and service requests related to GIS applications, services, web maps, data, user access, integrations, publishing, performance, and enterprise geodatabase environments.
  • Perform technical analysis and root cause investigations by reviewing system logs, configurations, infrastructure metrics, application behaviour, and error messages to identify underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Provide timely workarounds, resolutions, corrective actions, and preventive recommendations while ensuring effective communication and status updates to customers and stakeholders.
  • Escalate and coordinate complex technical issues with senior consultants, infrastructure teams, database administrators, security teams, application owners, cloud providers, and Esri Technical Support, ensuring complete documentation and technical findings are provided.
  • Support GIS data management activities, including data validation, migration, synchronization, publishing, enterprise geodatabase administration, and maintenance of data integrity and quality standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Python scripts and automation tools to improve GIS data processing, routine operational tasks, system monitoring, reporting, and service efficiency.
  • Plan and execute system maintenance activities, including health checks, backups, restoration testing, patch deployment, software upgrades, performance tuning, security remediation, and change implementations following approved procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize system performance, enhance operational processes, automate repetitive tasks, and improve overall service reliability.
  • Prepare and maintain operational documentation, including incident reports, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports, standard operating procedures, technical knowledge articles, maintenance records, asset inventories, and system architecture documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance and user support to customers and GIS users, including issue resolution assistance, best practice recommendations, and knowledge transfer activities.
  • Participate in on-call, standby, or after-hours support activities, when required, to support critical incidents, scheduled maintenance, or service restoration efforts.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Esri technologies, GIS industry trends, cloud platforms, databases, automation tools, and supporting IT infrastructure to ensure effective support and adoption of best practices.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Geodetic/Geomatic Engineering, Geoscience, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in GIS, ArcGIS, technical support, system administration, or a similar role. Fresh graduates with relevant ArcGIS projects or internship experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, and GIS data management.
  • Knowledge of Python scripting, GIS automation, and Enterprise Geodatabases is an advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve technical issues.
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, including Windows/Linux servers, databases, networking, and cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to manage incidents, provide technical recommendations, and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Eager to learn new technologies and stay current with Esri products and GIS industry trends.
