Job summary

JSAN Consulting pty ltd is seeking a Senior Quality assurance/Quality control Manager to lead geospatial QA/QC across acquisition, processing, and map production. You will design frameworks, validate data accuracy, and drive continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong knowledge of BIG standards and SKKNI IG, with a track record in large-scale mapping projects. English proficiency is essential; Bahasa Indonesia helpful for stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geodesy, Geomatics, Geography, Geospatial Information, Survey and Mapping, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in geospatial QA/QC, mapping, or related technical roles.
• Demonstrated success in large-scale mapping projects and multi-disciplinary environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize QA/QC frameworks for geospatial data acquisition, processing, and map production.
• Validate spatial data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and traceability across project stages.
• Monitor progress, prepare action-oriented reports, and facilitate stakeholder meetings.

Senior Quality assurance/ Quality control Manager

• Geospatial QA/QC: Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and optimize QA/QC frameworks for geospatial data acquisition, processing, and map production (urban, rural, and forest environments), with a track record of leading large-scale projects.
• Standards & Compliance: In-depth knowledge of geospatial standards and regulations established by Badan Informasi Geospasial (BIG) and related technical guidelines - as well as other national and international geospatial standards (e.g., SKKNI IG). Proven ability to ensure project deliverables meet all compliance criteria.
• Process Design & Documentation: Skilled in developing, standardizing, and documenting QA/QC processes, including onboarding, training, and technical briefings for diverse project teams.
• Technical Review & Validation: Extensive experience in validating spatial data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and traceability across multiple project stages. Ability to conduct technical reviews and provide actionable feedback.
• Project Monitoring & Reporting: Ability to monitor project progress, conduct planned vs actual analysis, and prepare clear, actionable reports for stakeholders. Skilled in facilitating meetings and communicating QA/QC findings.
• Risk Management: Capable of identifying risks, supporting mitigation strategies, and ensuring operational safety throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams, clients, and consortium partners. Proficient in knowledge transfer and stakeholder engagement.
• Geospatial Technology Proficiency: Hands-on experience with geospatial data acquisition technologies (e.g., aerial photogrammetry, LiDAR, SAR), GIS software, and data management tools.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills to assess data quality, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement in QA/QC processes.
