Job summary

Ambition is seeking a Web Application Support specialist in Hong Kong to provide tier-2/3 support for web applications, diagnose performance issues, and assist with cloud migration efforts.

The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, experience with REST APIs, and fluency in Cantonese to collaborate with local teams. You'll work across development and infrastructure, ensuring high availability and well-documented runbooks.

Qualifications

3+ years in technical support, application maintenance, or systems administration with focus on web apps.
Familiarity with cloud concepts (IaaS/PaaS) and migration workflows; hands-on or conceptual with major clouds.
Strong understanding of web architecture, HTTP, web servers, and REST APIs.
Proficient in reading logs, tracing API requests, and debugging across frontend and backend.

Responsibilities

Web Application Support: provide tier-2/3 support for web apps; diagnose performance issues and API errors.
Incident & Defect Management: reproduce and fix defects; coordinate with engineering for hotfixes.
Cloud Migration Assistance: support migration efforts by understanding deployment workflows and rollback procedures.
Monitoring & Maintenance: monitor system health and logs to ensure high availability post-migration.
Documentation & Handover: maintain SOPs, runbooks, and post-mortems.
