Job summary

Odoo is seeking a Vietnamese Content Translator for a 1-year contract to localize our entire website and software UI from English to Vietnamese, tailoring the tone for B2B executives. You will also adapt technical docs, knowledge base content, and marketing materials to support regional campaigns.

Collaborating with marketing and sales, you will build glossaries, maintain consistency, and ensure high-quality localization across platforms.

Qualifications

• Native Vietnamese with strong copywriting/editing skills and good English for coordination with APAC & HQ teams.
• Proven experience in B2B translation/localization or content management.
• Ability to manage time well, work independently, and meet tight deadlines.

Vietnamese Content Translator (1-year contract)

Responsibilities

• Website Localization: Localize our entire website content from English to Vietnamese, ensuring clear explanations of Odoo’s offerings. Adapt the tone to resonate with B2B business executives rather than everyday consumers to drive marketing campaign conversions
• Software & UI Localization: Translate software user interfaces (UI), error messages, dashboard strings, and in-app tooltips. Ensure the software feels natively built, readable, and intuitive for Vietnamese users
• Technical Documentation: Localize highly technical content, including user documentation, knowledge base articles, whitepapers, and installation guides
• Marketing & Sales Support: Translate pitch decks, event materials, digital advertising copy, and promotional content to support regional lead generation
• Content Creation: Collaborate with the marketing team to copywrite and develop localized content assets tailored specifically for the Vietnam market
• Quality Assurance & Feedback: Coordinate translation feedback loops with internal marketing and sales departments, as well as Odoo partners, to continuously refine and improve translation quality
• Terminology Management: Build and maintain comprehensive glossaries of industry-specific and Odoo-specific jargon to ensure brand consistency across all translated assets

MUST HAVE

• Language Proficiency: Native in Vietnamese (written and spoken) with strong copywriting/copy-editing skills. Professional working proficiency in English for seamless coordination with APAC and HQ teams
• Experience: Proven experience in B2B translation, localization projects, or B2B content management
• Agility & Time Management: Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and meet tight deadlines for ad-hoc translation requests
• Tech Literacy: Good command of IT tools and a quick learner of new software platforms
• Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across multicultural teams

NICE TO HAVE

• Prior experience in the SaaS / Tech industry
• Familiarity with translation localization tools, specifically Weblate
• A background in digital marketing/content creation
• A professional portfolio showcasing previous translation or business copywriting work
