Job summary

Societe Generale in Hong Kong seeks a Trainee in pricing and structuring to support fast, accurate pricings for Sales and to maintain pricing tools. You will work with senior structurers, learn pricing models, and contribute to the digitisation of the pricing platform while building knowledge of swaps, XVA, and market dynamics.

The role requires a finance/economics/engineering background, VBA/Python skills, strong communication, and fluency in English (Mandarin preferred).

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or similar.
• Previous experience on trading floor is a plus.
• Technology friendly: VBA and Python, automation mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support structurers in providing fast and accurate pricings to sales.
• Maintain and improve existing pricing tools used by the desk.
• Develop with structurers on products a deep understanding of pricing parameters.
• Develop new products and strategies under the lead of a pricer.
• Collect/analyze flow information and client intelligence.
• Establish relationships with sales and trading departments.
• Participate in digitisation of the pricing platform.
• Support execution of transactions by senior structurers.
• Understand and apply all aspects of swap pricing including the XVA chain.
