Job summary

Societe Generale in Hong Kong is seeking a Trainee: Deltaone Trader's Assistant to support the Deltaone Trading desk in daily operations, improve quant tools and pricing models using ML techniques. You will work under a senior trader to develop new products and backtest strategies while engaging with risk systems and pricing parameters.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field, fluent English, and a 24-month full-time contract.

Qualifications

Hold a relevant master's degree in finance, engineering, mathematics, machine learning or similar.
Previous experience on a trading floor is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Strong coding skills in VBA and/or Python.
Proven analytical, communication and presentation skills.
Fluent English is mandatory.

Responsibilities

Assist Deltaone Trading team in day-to-day operational activities.
Maintain and improve spreadsheets and tools (Power BI, Python scripts).
Develop on specific products a deep understanding of pricing parameters.
Develop new products and strategies under the lead of a senior trader using ML and quantitative tools.
Back testing of new strategies and models.
Look at risk systems and understand book deformations.
Establish good relationships with sales and structuring departments.
