Job summary

Societe Generale in Hong Kong invites applications for a Trainee: Deltaone Trader's Assistant to support the Deltaone Trading desk in daily operations, maintain spreadsheets, and build pricing models. Under supervision you will develop new products using machine learning and quantitative tools, backtest strategies, and interact with sales and structuring teams.

This is a fixed-term 24-month full-time trainee contract, requiring a master’s in finance/engineering/math, fluent English, and strong

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant master's degree in finance, engineering, mathematics, machine learning or similar.
• Previous experience on a trading floor is a plus.
• Microsoft Excel proficiency; good coding skills in VBA and/or Python.
• Proven analytical, computer and interpersonal skills including writing, communication and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve existing spreadsheets and tools used by the desk (Power BI, Python Scripts).
• Develop on specific products a deep understanding and knowledge of parameters impact on pricing.
• Develop new products and strategies under the lead of a senior trader, using Machine Learning and quantitative tools. Back testing of new strategies and models
• Look at the risk systems and tools, and understand book deformations
• Establish good relationships with sales and structuring departments
