Job summary

Classy Wheeler Limited is seeking a Technical Support Services Engineer to manage IT infrastructure, server and network administration, and end-user support in an education sector environment. The role covers server operations, backups, LAN/WAN, and classroom tech support.

The candidate should have MCP certification, Windows Server and Linux expertise, MySQL administration, and strong TCP/IP knowledge, with bilingual Chinese/English skills and Cantonese fluency.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for IT infrastructure and end-user support.
• Provide troubleshooting and remedial support for hardware, software, network, and system issues.
• Perform daily administration, operation, and maintenance of computer facilities and IT environments.
• Configure, deploy, and support desktops, servers, software applications, and related IT equipment.
• Support WebSAMS system operations, including servers, databases, web services, firewalls, and backups.
• Monitor and maintain server backup processes for data integrity and recoverability.
• Manage and support Wi-Fi network operations and connectivity services.
• Administer and manage tablet devices via Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms.
• Assist users with newly implemented hardware, software, and tech solutions.
• Prepare inventory reports and software asset management documentation.
• Support teachers and users with classroom technology and daily IT operations.
• Assist in IT procurement, including quotations, asset disposal and evaluation.
• Provide professional recommendations on IT infrastructure development and equipment acquisition.
• Support school events and media production, including photography and video editing.

• Demonstrate hands‑on experience with Windows Server, Linux Server, MySQL administration, and networking technologies.
• Have a strong understanding of TCP/IP and related communication protocols.
• Possess practical experience in web server administration and support.
• Be capable of diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues independently.
• Have experience establishing operational procedures and guidelines for WAN and LAN environments.
• Communicate effectively in written and spoken Chinese and English.
• Be fluent in Cantonese.
• Be eligible to pass the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC).
• Hold a valid CITA Card or be able to meet project access requirements.
• Demonstrate strong customer service, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.

Others

• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch break; Saturday, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
• Successful candidate must complete the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) upon client selection.
• Immediate availability and relevant education sector support experience will be an advantage.
