Job summary

InfoTech Services (Hong Kong) Limited seeks a Business Analyst for the Education Information System (EdIS) project under the Education Bureau. The role focuses on collecting and maintaining student information, supporting new IT initiatives and system enhancements across EdIS modules.

The contract runs for 3 months (02 Oct 2026–31 Jan 2027) and is based in Sha Tin. Strong English and Chinese, plus experience in UAT, requirements gathering and coordinating with technical teams, are essential.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience in supporting IT systems.
• Strong command of English and Chinese (written and spoken).
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated with strong sense of responsibility and integrity.
• Experience in UAT and pre-UAT activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional support to new IT initiatives and enhancements.
• Gather, revise and consolidate user requirements from multiple stakeholders.
• Coordinate with technical teams on workflow, system analysis and design reports.
• Assist in confirming platform design and issue resolution.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing to facilitate user buy-in.
• Monitor platform progress and deliverables.

Project Nature (T26) the Education Information System (EdIS) and systems related to student information management and school places allocation as a Business Analyst. To enhance collection, processing and maintenance of relevant student information, new IT initiatives and functional enhancements across modules and applications of EdIS will be involved.

Duties

• Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the EDB;


• To provide professional support to the new initiatives and enhancements, including:


• to assist in compiling, revising and consolidating user requirements based on views/comments from various parties;


• to assist in liaising with various parties and giving comments on workflow, system analysis and design report/ impact analysis and program/function specification;


• to assist in confirming system design of the Platform/ issues fixed;


• to conduct User Acceptance Test (UAT)/ preliminary UAT for the Platform and/or issues fixed to facilitate users' acceptance of the revised programs;


• to collaborate with technical teams and coordinate user activities;


• to monitor the progress of the Platform and/or issues fixed;


• to assist in reviewing and accepting project deliverables.


• To provide support for systems related to student information management and school places allocation;


• To take up any other duties as required by supervisors.

Requirements

• At least five years' experience in supporting IT systems;


• Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese;


• Strong interpersonal, technical, analytical, administration and organization skills with flexible approach to problem solving;


• Proactive with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity, with self-motivated and detail oriented;


• Experience in control and operation of computer systems; assisting and preparing documents; supporting IT systems and facilitating communication;


• Experience in assisting and preparing UAT / conducting pre-UAT;


• Ability to work independently to meet deadline;


• Work experience with/in the Government is preferred; and


• Experiences in handling calls from schools and public is preferred.


• At least Level 2 or above in 5 subjects including Chinese and English Language in HKDSEE or Grade E or above in 5 subjects, including Chinese and English Language (Syl B) in HKCEE or equivalent;


• At least 5 years'relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.

Technical Skills

• At least 1 year's experience in Chinese Processing (CHI);


• At least 1 year's experience in Electronic Form (EFM);


• At least 1 year's experience in Internet/ Intranet (INT);


• At least 1 year's experience in Multi-tier System Integration (MSI);


• At least 1 year's experience in System Implementation and Maintenance/Support (SIM);


• At least 1 year's experience in Windows 7/8/10 (W10).

Non-technical Skills

• At least 1 year's experience in customer service (CLS);


• Good coordination skills is a must;


• Excellent spoken English is a must;


• Excellent written English is a must;


• At least 1 year's experience in presentation (PRT);


• At least 1 year's experience in quality management (QMT);


• At least 1 year's experience in software testing (STM);


• 1 year's experience in negotiation (NEG) is an advantage;


• 1 year's experience in customer relations (ECR) is an advantage;


• 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV) is an advantage;


• 1 year's experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS) is an advantage;


• 1 year's experience in helpdesk call handling (HDT) is an advantage.
