Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Ltd is seeking a Technical Officer / Engineer (REW License required) to be based in Central, Hong Kong. You will monitor and manage building technical systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and smart controls, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Join a team that liaises with external maintenance contractors, conducts site inspections, and leads the on-site technical staff to uphold heritage site guidelines and high service standards.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma or above in Building Services Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Surveying or related field.
• REW license is an advantage.
• Experience in facilities management or commercial property preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily operations of building technical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, smart controls).
• Liaise between site management and external maintenance contractors to ensure standards and heritage guidelines.
• Conduct routine site inspections to identify and rectify issues promptly.
• Supervise reactive maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize disruption.
• Implement and monitor Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules for assets.
• Direct supervise and mentor the on-site in-house technical team.

What this job involves:

Monitor the daily operations of the building's technical systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and smart building controls

Act as the liaison between the site management and external maintenance contractors, ensuring work is carried out to standard and within heritage site guidelines

Conduct routine site inspections to identify and rectify technical or facility-related issues promptly

Supervise reactive maintenance and emergency repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to site operations and tenants

Implement and monitor Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules to ensure optimal performance and longevity of all building assets

Direct supervise, mentor and manage the on site in-house technical teamants.

Required Skills and Experience:

Higher Diploma or above in Building Services Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Surveying or a related technical discipline

Holder of Registered Electrical Worker (REW) license is an advantage

Experience in facilities management, property management or commercial is preferred

Strong leadership, coaching, and team management capabilities

Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to facility operations

High level of customer service orientation and professional communication skills
