Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) in Hong Kong is seeking a seasoned Building Services Engineer to oversee engineering and maintenance for the managing building. You will lead the technical team, coordinate daily operations, and ensure reliable operation of MEP systems.

This role requires strong leadership, excellent English and Chinese communication, and a proven track record in building maintenance, CAPEX planning, procurement, and vendor management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years’ relevant work experience in building maintenance and MEP operation at supervisory/ managerial level.
• Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Building Services Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related subject.
• HKIE / CEng / CIBSE / IMechE or equivalent preferable.
• Holder of Registered Electrical Worker Certificate is preferable.
• Experience in CAPEX planning, procurement and project management preferred.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage technical matters and team members.
• Good written and spoken English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and maintenance work for the building and supervise the technical team.
• Handle daily operations, inspection and maintenance of MEP systems.
• Manage emergency duties related to system breakdowns.
• Prepare tenders and supervise repair works.
• Execute building improvements and monitor vendors’ performance.

You are responsible for engineering and maintenance work in the managing building and lead the technical team to carry out daily operations, inspection and regular maintenance of the MEP systems and building elements, handle emergency duties related to system breakdowns, prepare tender, supervise repair works, execute improvement works and monitor vendors’ performance.

Requirements

• Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Building Services Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent related subjects.
• Professional Qualification such as HKIE / CEng / CIBSE / IMechE or equivalent is preferable
• Holder of Registered Electrical Worker Certificate is preferable
• Minimum 7 years’ relevant work experience of building maintenance, planning, and scheduling building maintenance, A&A works and MEP operation for the property in supervisory/ managerial level.
• Experience in client of commercial building owner is in advantage
• Experience in developing CAPEX plans for building improvements and preventive maintenance, as well as managing procurement, project management, is preferred
• Hands-on experience in managing building improvement, site coordination and emergency repair works.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
• Independent, analytical, self-motivated, well-organized and able to work under pressure
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage both technical matters and team members effectively
• Candidates with less experience will be considered as Building Services Engineer
