Job summary

HR Plus (Talent) Limited is seeking a Building Engineer (Operations & Maintenance) in Hong Kong to plan, coordinate and manage maintenance and renovation projects from inception to completion. The role covers E&M systems, HVAC, electrical and fire services, with a focus on design review and tender support.

Ideal candidates hold a degree or higher diploma in Building Services Engineering or related fields, with at least 3 years of experience in property maintenance or project management.

Qualifications

• Degree or Higher Diploma in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Engineering or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in building services, facilities management, property maintenance, E&M systems or project management.
• Experience from property developers, property management companies or E&M contractors.

Job description

Our client is a well-established property investment and development group in Hong Kong with a diversified portfolio covering commercial, industrial, retail and residential properties. Due to ongoing expansion and project requirements, they are currently hiring talented professionals to join the Projects & Building Services team.

Available Positions

Building Engineer (Operations & Maintenance)

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate and manage building maintenance, repair, renovation, fitting-out and A&A projects from inception to completion.

Handle E&M systems including HVAC/MVAC, electrical and fire services installations, testing and commissioning works.

Assist in design review, tender preparation and contract administration.

Monitor project progress and supervise consultants and contractors to ensure quality, safety and compliance with statutory requirements.

Conduct site inspections and provide technical support for improvement and maintenance projects.

Support daily repair and maintenance operations within a mixed-use property environment.

Liaise with property management teams, consultants and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.

Handle emergency maintenance issues and ad hoc assignments when required.

Requirements

Degree or Higher Diploma in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Engineering or related disciplines.

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in building services, facilities management, property maintenance, E&M systems or project management.

Experience gained from property developers, property management companies or E&M contractors.

Familiar with local regulations including EMSD, FSD, Minor Works System and Buildings Ordinance.

Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.

Registered Electrical Worker (REW) Licence A or above is preferred. REW Licence B holder will be an advantage.

Self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently with strong communication and time management skills.

Position title and remuneration package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
