Job summary

The Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd is seeking a Technical Officer (Electrical) to join our Admiralty team. The role focuses on preparing and coordinating technical drawings, supporting engineers in construction supervision, and ensuring quality through inspections and testing at workshops and sites.

You should have a Higher Diploma in Building Services/Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years’ drafting experience for E&M and building services, plus REW Grade A.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma in Building Services/Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
• A minimum of 5 years’ relevant drafting experience for E&M, lighting & building services projects.
• Registered Electrical Worker (REW) of Grade A or above under the Electricity Ordinance.
• Knowledge of local and international regulations, procedures, standards and codes of practice.
• Proficiency in CAD drafting, MS Office and Chinese word processing.
• Knowledge in SketchUp, Photoshop and Building Information Modelling (BIM) an advantage.
• Holder of a valid driving license (Class 1/2) an advantage.
• Good command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written.

Reporting to the Chief Electrical Engineer, the appointee will mainly perform the following duties:

To prepare technical drawings, coordinate project drawings and maintain drawing records

To assist Engineers in supervision of construction/erection works for power generation, transmission and building services projects

To carry out goods receiving inspection, quality control inspection, and testing and commissioning at local manufacturers’ fabrication workshops and construction sites

To assist in various office administration works

Requirements:
