Job summary

MTR Corporation Limited 香港鐵路有限公司 is seeking an experienced Property Development Engineer to lead technical reviews and coordinate large-scale development schemes in Hong Kong. The role covers from inception to handover, ensuring compliance, cost control and timely delivery with close liaison to internal teams and external consultants.

You will bring a degree in Building Services/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with 8+ years’ experience, including managerial exposure, and strong English/Chinese

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience, including 2 years in a managerial role.
• Professional qualification in Building Services / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in large-scale developments with knowledge of property markets, building services, E&M systems, contract administration, costing and scheduling.
• Familiar with government departments and utilities approvals, procedures and regulations.
• Excellent English and Chinese communication skills (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical reviews, advice and workable solutions for property development projects from inception to handover.
• Assist in master development schemes to enable implementation of development agreements.
• Coordinate with developers, project managers and consultants to ensure completion and delivery of projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams for interfacing with railway facilities and handover to Property Management.
• Provide technical advice on sustainability and innovative designs for new developments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical reviews, advice and workable solutions for implementation of the Corporation's property development projects in Hong Kong from inception to completion and handover
• Assist in the preparation of master development schemes to facilitate implementation of development agreements for property development projects
• Facilitate the developers as well as their project managers and consultants to ensure satisfactory completion and delivery of property projects
• Facilitate coordination with internal parties for interfacing with railway facilities and handover to Property Management teams
• Provide technical advice on sustainability and innovative designs to suit for new property developments

Requirements

• Degree in Building Services / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• A minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience, of which 2 years should be at managerial level
• Possession of a recognised professional qualification in Building Services / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience in large-scale developments with good knowledge of property markets and planning, building services and E&M systems, contract administration, project costing and programming is essential
• Be familiar with relevant Government departments and utilities company approvals, procedures, regulations and processes
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese

Remarks

• Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms
