Egis Asia Pacific Holding Limited is seeking a Technical Director Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) to lead project delivery across infrastructure and building projects in Hong Kong. You will participate in design and site meetings, liaise with client teams on progress and changes, and lead a team of professionals while managing costs and tendering activities.
The role requires a degree and post-graduate degree in mechanical, electrical and/or building services engineering, with chartered membership
This role involves ensuring project delivery, quality of work and technical review across infrastructure and building projects. You will attend design meetings, site meetings and all other project related meetings, and liaise with client teams in relation to project progress, decisions and changes. You will manage internal costs and budgets, handle business tendering and commercial negotiations, and actively address issues as raised by clients. The role includes seeking business opportunities and risk reduction proactively, and maintaining high-level networking activity with private and institutional stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
Ensure project delivery, quality of work and technical review
Attend design meetings, site meetings and all other project related meetings
Build and develop a solid and successful group of professionals
Manage internal costs and budgets
Responsible for business tendering and commercial negotiations
Liaise with Client team in relation to project progress, decisions and changes
Actively address issues as raised by the clients
Seek for business opportunities and risk reduction proactively
Lead the way on people management to drive a motivated disciplined and productive workforce
Drive strategies for recruitment and retention of key personnel
About you
Degree and post graduate degree in mechanical, electrical and/or building services engineering
Professional membership to one or more of the following: MHKIE, MIMechE, MIET, MCIBSE
Proven post-chartered experience including experience in managing a team
Experience in infrastructure and building projects
Proven technical design capabilities in MEP division
Track record of delivering large scale HK/China assignments
Excellent understanding of HK construction regulation and legislation
Experience in design, construction supervision and project management and familiar with the government submission procedures and quasi-government submission procedures (MTRC, Airport Authority)
Proficient in Cantonese & English, Mandarin will be an advantage
Ability to communicate and interact with officials at all levels of government and clients
