Qualifications

• Understanding of IT security best practices and data protection.
• Good command of Chinese and English; excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
• Managing user accounts, access permissions, and password resets in accordance with company security policies.
• Performing routine system maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and antivirus management.
• Creating and maintaining detailed documentation of issues, resolutions, and technical procedures.
• Escalating complex technical issues to senior support staff or vendors when necessary.
• Assisting with the deployment and rollout of new hardware and software across the organisation.
• Supporting the implementation of IT policies and security protocols to protect company data and systems.
• Maintaining a high standard of customer service and professionalism whilst managing multiple support requests.

About the role
We are seeking a System Support Specialist to join our growing IT support team on a full-time basis in Wan Chai District. This is a critical role within our Support division, responsible for providing frontline technical assistance to our end-users and maintaining the stability and performance of desktop computing environments.

Key responsibilities

Providing first and second-line technical support to end-users via telephone, email, and remote assistance tools

Troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues on desktop and laptop computers

What we're looking for

Proven experience in desktop support, or a similar IT support role for at least 2–3 years

Strong technical knowledge of Windows operating systems and M365

Practical experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems

Proficiency in troubleshooting common hardware issues such as printers, monitors, and network connectivity problems

Understanding of IT security best practices and data protection principles

Good standard of both Chinese and English

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users

A logical problem-solving approach and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple support requests simultaneously and work under pressure

Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and enterprise IT environments is advantageous
