Job summary

Cathay Pacific is seeking a Solution Analyst for the Subsidiary Solution Centre (Cathay Dining) in Hong Kong. The role translates business needs into functional/technical specs and drives end-to-end solution development for software applications.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that align with Cathay’s serviceBrand and loyalty initiatives.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 years of IT with at least 3 years in application development and support.
• Tertiary qualifications are essential.
• Hands-on technical development and implementation experience.
• Experience in SAP, ERP or WMS solutions is an added advantage.
• Experience in Agile delivery model is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of technology concepts, trends and capabilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills with creativity.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Candidates with less experience may be considered as Solution Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and assess detailed solution options from a system perspective.
• Support solution design and contribute expertise to high level design decisions and specs.
• Map requirements to functional and technical specifications for software projects.
• Provide production support during non-office hours on a rotation basis.
• Oversee and QA development of all components to meet requirements and standards.
• Contribute to and follow development standards and frameworks.
• Participate in system integration and data migration across platforms.
• Provide timely project updates including progress, risks and milestones; review vendors as needed.
• Keep abreast of business strategy, plans and industry trends.
