Cathay Pacific Group is seeking a Solution Analyst to translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications for software projects and system enhancements within the IMT department, supporting Cathay Cargo Terminal subsidiary.

You will work with stakeholders to deliver reliable applications that align with business goals, ensure traceability, and contribute to technical specifications and hands-on development as needed.

Qualificações

• Degree qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 6+ years IT experience, with at least 3 years in application development and support.

Responsabilidades

• Analyse business requirements and evaluate solution options from a system perspective.
• Support solution design and contribute technical expertise to deliver business outcomes.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Ensure end-to-end traceability and alignment between requirements and delivered solutions.
• Contribute to the development of detailed technical specifications.
• Perform hands-on technical development, configuration and implementation activities.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for production applications and incidents.
• Review vendor delivery quality and implementation activities where required.
• Conduct quality assurance on solution components and ensure compliance with technology standards.
• Collaborate across technology teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Role Introduction

Reports to: Solution Lead / Senior Solution Lead

This role sits within the Information Technology Department (IMT), supporting one of our subsidiaries, Cathay Cargo Terminal, through the delivery and optimisation of critical business applications.

As a Solution Analyst, you translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications for software development projects and system enhancements. You work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver reliable software applications that align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and evaluate solution options from a system perspective
• Support solution design and contribute technical expertise to deliver business outcomes
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
• Ensure end-to-end traceability and alignment between requirements and delivered solutions
• Contribute to the development of detailed technical specifications
• Perform hands-on technical development, configuration and implementation activities
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for production applications and incidents
• Review vendor delivery quality and implementation activities where required
• Conduct quality assurance on solution components and ensure compliance with technology standards
• Collaborate across technology teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Degree qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline
• Minimum 6 years of Information Technology experience, with at least 3 years of experience in application development and support
• Knowledge of database and Warehouse Operating System (WOS) is an added advantage
• Experience supporting 24/7 operational business environments is an added advantage
• Good understanding of technology trends, concepts and capabilities
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments is an advantage
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Effective communication in both Chinese and English and stakeholder management skills
