Job summary

New World Facilities Management Co. Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Manager, Theatrical Services to lead stage and event operations at venues and exhibitions in Hong Kong.

You will oversee set-up, rigging, rehearsal and strike-out, plan manpower, supervise in-house staff and casual labour, and provide technical support for audio, lighting and stage systems, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Theatre and Entertainment Arts; HKAPA preferred.
• 4+ years in sizable venues; supervisory experience an advantage.
• Proficiency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Independent, highly organized and hardworking.
• AutoCAD drawing skills are an added advantage.
• Willingness to work weekends and on shift/odd hours.
• Candidates with varied experience will be considered for different positions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Person-in-Charge of stage and event operations at venues, exhibitions and multi-purpose areas, ensuring setup, rigging, rehearsal, performance and strike-out are carried out smoothly and safely.
• Formulate operational strategies to maintain productivity and efficiency across customer service, sales targets, theatrical efficiency, safety and system performance.
• Plan and review daily manpower deployment; supervise in-house staff and casual labour; prepare duty rosters.
• Provide professional technical services and support to hirers/users in setting up and operating audio, lighting, and stage systems; act as duty theatrical technician if needed.
• Plan and execute maintenance schedules for theatrical equipment and materials.
• Compile users’ requirements for outsourced services and evaluate vendor performance; monitor venue usage and revenue records.
• Monitor consumables usage and inventory; maintain records and coordinate replenishment.
• Prepare reports and analyses of venue operations.
