Job summary

Hong Kong Dance Company Limited is seeking a Deputy Stage Manager to oversee all technical cues and operations for dance performances and rehearsals. You will plan production arrangements, coordinate small to medium-scale shows, and support dancer rehearsals and performance matters.

Working hours may include weekends and public holidays, and you will assist with set design, props and stage equipment preparation, as well as general administrative tasks as required to ensure smooth productions.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in stage management or equivalent with 3+ years' experience; or secondary schooling with 5+ years' stage management experience.
• Familiar with stage technology, set design, props production, lighting, sound, costumes and makeup for dance.
• Ability to read musical scores.
• Proficient in written Chinese and English; fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin.
• Proficient in MS Office, Q-lab and OBS.
• Experience in computer music editing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate Q-lab system for performances and rehearsals.
• Plan and manage production arrangements and operations.
• Coordinate small to medium scale performances.
• Handle dancer rehearsal and performance matters.
• Assist with administrative tasks, filing and record-keeping.
• Assist in preparing and handling set design, props and stage equipment.
