Job summary

MTR Corporation Limited 香港鐵路有限公司 is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team overseeing inspection, fault handling, and maintenance for facility systems at MTR stations and facilities. Responsibilities include supervising contractors, coordinating C&R and condition-based maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires strong leadership, fault diagnosis skills, and the ability to liaise with stakeholders, with a joining bonus of HK$12,000

Qualifications

• Relevant hands-on experience in mechanical/electrical building services maintenance and supervision.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities for supervising contractors and staff.
• Ability to perform fault diagnosis and oversee safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to inspect, check, verify, supervise, and handle faults in maintenance activities by contractors for BS, CF, A/C, PLC, Servers and RTUs at MTR stations and facilities.
• Oversee overhaul-based maintenance, C&R works, and condition-based maintenance.
• Supervise to resolve technical issues and support investigations for equipment failures; suggest long-term improvements.
• Assist in preparing maintenance documentation focusing on safety, quality, and environmental matters.
• Liaise with contractors and stakeholders; provide expert advice on station/commercial facilities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and after-hours calls.
• Ensure all works comply with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

• Lead a team of staff to perform inspection, checking, verification, supervision and fault handling for maintenance activities carried out by contractors on the assigned facility systems / equipment, including Building Services (BS) Systems, Commercial Facilities (CF), Air-conditioning Systems, PLC Systems, Servers and RTUs at MTR stations, station shops and ancillary buildings
• Carry out overhaul-based maintenance, Capital & Revenue (C&R) Works and Condition-based maintenance
• Supervise the team to resolve related technical issues, support equipment failure investigations and recommend long-term improvement initiatives
• Assist to prepare maintenance documentations in relation to safety, quality and environmental issues
• Liaise with contractors, tenants’ contractors and other stakeholders, and provide expert advice on Station/Commercial facilities

For Condition Based Maintenance Team

• Carry out condition monitoring and predictive maintenance activities such as Machinery Vibration Analysis, Dynamic Balancing, Alignment Correction, Lube Oil Sample Analysis, Infrared Thermographic and Ultrasonic Detection

For New Works Team

• Assist supervisors and Engineers to conduct site measurement for cost estimation, as well as on-site supervision, safety inspection and hand-over inspection for C&R Works
• Control and monitor the implementation of C&R Works to ensure that works carried out by contractor / in-house staff comply with the requirements of specifications, safety requirements, and are completed within the required timeframe

For Station Retail Technical Team

• Perform the role of Competent Person (CP) to supervise contractor and working team
• Conduct site briefings, takeover/handover inspection, and patrol along MTR stations for shop fitting out works

Requirements

• Higher Diploma / Higher Certificate in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / Building Services Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience, of which 1 year should be at supervisory level; or
• Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / Building Services Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience, of which 1 year should be at supervisory level, or
• Good interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem solving skills

Remarks

• Candidates with extensive experience but lower qualification will also be considered
• Required to perform shift duties and work on weekend and public holidays, when and where required
• The above position offers a Joining Bonus of $12,000, subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant programme
